Microsoft’s web development tools is ASP.NET with c# implemented.

This is the No.1 tools and language to design the dynamic web page easily. ASP.NET is the second largest using web development language. Asp.net comes with its own design and development coding, but in php web page have to be designed in HTML, CSS and php is used in dynamic area. Here is the starting guide for a simple asp.net project.

Open visual studio 2010, click on file -> New -> Website or press Shift+Alt+N ( shortcut)

There are many .net frameworks available,

  • .net framework 2.0
  • .net framework 3.0
  • .net framework 3.5
  • .net framework 4.0

Each framework has its own advantage and disadvantage, some web servers accept some specified framework. Selection of framework changes the web.config file structure.

Here i have chosen .Net Framework 3.5, if we choose .Net Framework 4.0 some default files(master page, css) will be attached. .Net Framework 3.5 and its lower framework will have default.aspx and web.config as its default files

Visual studio 2010’s Website development have three different views in it.

Design – In design mode, web elements can be viewed virtually. Visual studio only have the clear virtual view of all HTML elements(span, h1 family, table, etc)

Source – Source of the webpage can only be viewed in this option, toolbox will not work in this option

Split – Working window is split into two half parts, one for design area and another for source code area. Toolbox will work only when design area is selected.

Below is the Toolbox used for web design and development,it is having 10 sections. Database options are given as option, no need to implement more coding.

Note: Toolbox will work only in design mode

Solution Explorer will shows you what are the files are included in this project or what are the fields are in project folder.

Properties of an element can be changed by using properties window. In default solution explorer and properties window will be in right side, if not select from menu bar( View). Properties window can be obtained by shortcut F4

After Entering the asp.net coding in page, Run the project by press F5. It asks for option, i usually select second option because it doesn’t change web.config file.

Output will be open in your browser

Advantages:

Easily manage large database.

Dynamic web pages will be created in short time.

Disadvantage:

Asp.net is a vendor based and not an open source software, you have to pay for license of software.

For hosting Asp.net file in server, it only supports windows server. When compared to open source operating system windows server is high cost and it has low security.

You actually make it seem so easy along with your presentation however I to find this matter to be actually something which I think I might by no means understand. It kind of feels too complex and very vast for me. I’m taking a look forward in your next put up, I will attempt to get the dangle of it!
