As now most of us are using local computer hard disk for storage purpose. In a situation your have to store data in some storage device, your hard disk does not have as much space and your only hope is to use cloud computing(Virtually use a hard disk Storage as a service). Google introduced a new cloud computing option called gmail drive. Its an easiest method of storage. GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual drive in the Windows Explorer, allowing you to use your Google Mail account as a storage medium.

It allows you to store data for 6000 MB, such as copy and delete, on files inside the GMail folder.You can access your GMail Drive from Anywhere.The Basic file Operations like OPEN,CUT,COPY,PASTE. Because it is a Shell Extension, the interface you work in is Windows Explorer itself.

GMail files are physically stored as e-mails on your Google Mail account. The files are stored in mail attachments, and the filename and file information (such as filesize) is stored in the message subject line.

GMail Drive has already been installed on your computer. All you need to do now, is to browse to the GMail Drive entry under your My Computer folder in the Windows Explorer.

Step 1: Download the GMailDrive Here gmailfs118f.zip. Extract Zip File And Run the SETUP.exe

The Gmail Drive will be installed in your system. After that You will See the Gmail Drive as an Hard disk.

If you open the Gmail Drive .You will be Asked to login in the Gmail Account.
