Some basic thing that needed for estimation of structures are…

1 meter = 3.281 ft

1 cu.m=35.28 cft

25mm=1inch

1 cu.m= 500 nos  Bricks

1 acre= 435670 sq.ft

1 cent=435.67 sq.ft

1 acre= 100 cent

1. How to measure rod wieght?

Answer:

Weight of rod=(D2/162.2)*Length(meter)=kg

2. How to determine how many rod require for a 10ft*12ft footing?Rod spacing 3in in both side.

Answer:

10ft=10*12=120in

Rod require=(120/spacing)+1=(120/3)+1=41 nos

Rod require=(12*12/spacing)+1=(144/3)+1=49 nos.

3. 25cm thick 1.5m inner dia and 6m depth of asoak well.How much construction material require?Ratio 1:6

Answer:

Brick work need=1*{3.14*(1.5+2)/2}*0.25*6=8.24 cum

1+6=7

Dry morter=8.24*35%=2.884cum

Brick need=8.24/(0.254*0.127*0.076)=3361 nos

sand need=8.24*6/7=2.47cum

Cement need=2.884*1/(7*0.0347)=11.87~12bags

4. A soak well 25 cm thick whose inner dia is 150cm and depth is 600 cm.How much cum brick work require for this soak well construction?

Answer:

inner length=3.14*(inner dia+outer dia)/2

=3.14*(150+200)/2=549.5cm=5.495m

brick work need=1*5.495*0.25*6=8.24cum

5. How much construction material require for 10 cum brick work?Ratio 1:6

Answer:

Dry morter=10*35%=3.5cum

1+6=7

Brick need=10/2.54*0.127*0.076=4079 nos

Cement need=3.5*1/7=0.50cum=0.50*1440/50=14.4~15 bags

6.How much construction material require for 12 mm thick of 100 sqmcement plastering work?Ratio 1:6

Answer:

Dry volume=100*12*1.5/1000=1.8

Cement=1.8*1*30/7=7.71~8bags

Sand=1.8*6/7=1.54 cum

Sand need=3.5*6/7=3 cum

7. How Much Construction materials require for 25cm thick plaster of 100 sqm work brick work?Ratio 1:5

Answer:

Brick need=100/0.127*0.076=10361 nos (brick size=25.4cm*12.7cm*7.6cm)

cement need=8.75*1*30/6=43.75~44 bags

Sand need=8.75*5/6=7.29 cum

8. How much construction materials require for 100 sqm cement plastering work of 12mm thick.Ratio 1:6

Answer:

Dry volume=100*12*1.5/1000=1.8cum

Cement req=1.8*1*30/7=7.71~8 bags

Sand req=1.8*6/7=1.54cum

9. For 12m long wall which hight is 3m.The wall thickness is 12.5cm.For 1.5 cm thick plaster for both side of the wall how much cement and sand require.Ratio 1:6.

Answer:

Quantity of work require for 1.5 cm thick plaster= 1*2*12*3=72 square meter.

1+6=7

Dry volume=72*1.5*1.5/100=1.62cum

1.Cement need=1.62*1*30/7=6.94~7 bags

2.Sand require=1.62*6/7=1.39cum

10. How much brick , cement,sand need for 150 cum work of ratio 1:3:6.

Answer:

Lets what is Cum:cum is Length*Breadth*hight (a volume)

1+3+6=10

Dry volume=150*1.54=231

1cum khoa=300 nos Bricks.

1 bag cement=0.0347 cu.m

1.Brick need=231*6*300/10 = 41580 nos

2.Sand need=231*3/10 =69.30 cum

3.Cement need=231*1/10*0.0347 = 665.71~666 bags
